June 22, 2021 - After 22 years of living in Florida, Naples for 6 and Ocala for 16, I decided to move back to my roots in Ohio to be near my children and extended family. I'm living in a beautiful place in Aurora Ohio. I had a very interesting full life in Florida. Volunteered all over the map from museums, to hospital, to theater, and even worked part time jobs. I'm living a rather pristine, quiet, peaceful life now which I believe is the way it's supposed to be.

December 23, 2022 - We are staying active on our 80-acre homestead by heating our 125-year-old farmhouse with wood. It gets us out in the woods, helps clean up downed trees and gives us deadlines to make before being snowed in. We've been restoring the house since we bought it in 1968 and are not finished! I teach online courses in math and communications for Michigan State University and Judie is active in our township government. I am retiring from the pipe band this year but will still pipe for funerals and special occasions. Judie is an active quilter. We travel less each year, but, when we do, the preferred method is towing our 1988 Corsair travel trailer.

Can't say I enjoy the heat down here. I miss the mild climate and even a good snowfall. We are both healthy at this point. I am working with a P.E.O. group here on women's scholarships , working on our family foundation for patient health initiatives with the Mayo Clinic, as well as doing Jazzercise for over 45 years. I keeps me limber. Also for those of you that knew Tanju,Baran Akan, she is well and still working as an archaeological architect with her latest project in downtown Izmir where I was as an A.F.S. student in 1959. They each gave us two fabulous grandchildren. I am so proud of being a graduate of Brecksville High School. May 2, 2024: Steve ('67) and I have been married for 45 years. We both retired from our work at the County of Maui and since then have been running a bed and breakfast in our home on Maui. We take at least two trips a year to visit family, friends and the national parks. If you feel like venturing to Maui, look us up on AirBnB - we're known as Haleakala Sunrise Home. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/9648308

May 17, 2023 - I've been retired now for almost three years and can't quite figure out how I had time to work. Steve, my husband of almost 45 years, and I run a bed and breakfast in our home just for the fun of it. I also volunteer at church on the music and tech teams, mentor elementary students through Kids Hope USA, and lead a group with Bible Study Fellowship. We travel as often as possible to see our son and daughter-in-law in Orlando, FL and have made it a goal to visit as many national parks as possible.
