Class of 1964 – Lawrie Davidson

December 12, 2022 – Hi All. It’s been a long yer here in our State. Hurricanes and many other events have taken place. Back in Feb. my wife lost her daughter to start the year off. Not a pleasant thing to have happen but we are moving on. We go camping with our local Tomoka Travelers coming group of which I am the President. This takes a lot of time planning our trips but I enjoy it We also have a local Happy Hour Group which goes out every Friday afternoon to local venues for libations and dinner. We have anywhere between 2t5 – 30 present on any given Friday. We all enjoy each others company. This is great for our retirement. Both of us have been retired for many years so it is nice to get out. Did I mention earlier Hurricanes.? Well, Daytona doesn’t seem to be hit much but this year we have had 2 of them within month of each there. Some of our Hotels are still not open and it has been over 2 months. The beach erosion was bad also but there is still a lot to do here. Then, Shirley had her hip replaced in Nov the day before Thanksgiving. She did very well and within two weeks was doing everything she used to do. We couldn’t; believe how well she progresses and neither could the Doctors and Therapists. We will start camping again in January so we are looking forward to getting out again. We hope everyone has a great Holiday Season and wish many of you could get here for the Roundup 23 in Tavares.
