January 19, 2022: In November and December of last year (2021) I spent November and December in Costa Rica. I’ve been going down every year for the last ten, except 2020 due to COVID. In March, I will be going to Chile and Bolivia to do some hiking in the Atacama desert.
Class of 1978 – Andrea Chech
December 16, 2021: I have been living in and around the city of Tucson, AZ for the past 27 years. I came out here to attend the University of Arizona for my Ph.D. and fell in love with the southwest (AZ, NM, CO, UT). I had an environmental consulting company prior to retiring early. I now spend my time volunteering with animal rescue groups, even going to Costa Rica and Nicaragua doing spay and neuters out in rural areas. My husband (now deceased) and I spend our time 4-wheeling in the mountains and deserts out here. My love of old mining towns, ghost towns, and old cemeteries had us driving on many dirt tracks that we wondered if they really WERE roads! We spent a lot of time in the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado, being above timberline and looking out over the world. Besides animals and old mines, I spend the rest of my time on my motorcycles getting what we call “wind therapy”. I ride all year long and as I get older, I am starting to think that A/Cs and heaters should be added to motorcycles!
Class of 2014 – Brigitte Galkauner
February 22, 2022: After graduating from BBHHS in 2014, I attended the College of Wooster to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and German language. Directly after college, I pursued a Master’s degree in Library & Information Science and completed the degree in 2020. Since then, I have begun my career as an academic librarian at Tiffin University.
Class of 1980 – William Altman
February 6, 2022: I have been teaching Science and Social Studies to seventh-graders for 27 years now. This was a career change after working in the business world. I’ve been married to my lovely wife, Elizabeth for 26 years and have two grown children, a boy and a girl. I loved wrestling and baseball in high school and still play men’s adult baseball to this day. I’ve still maintained contact with many of my classmates and enjoy connecting with those I haven’t seen in a while.
Class of 1974 – Robin Stanback (Buchanan)
February 3, 2022: Still enjoying farm living just outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Covid has cancelled a lot of travel plans, so we have spent the last couple of years playing on the farm and teaching our grandson how to ride and drive the farm truck and tractor. Being a grandparent is a blast.
